Nvidia headquarters building

Nvidia and Meta Platforms have deepened their partnership on Meta’s Muse artificial-intelligence assistant, with Nvidia agreeing to invest $3 billion in the Facebook parent’s equity offering.

The announcement came on Tuesday, as Meta raised its fundraising to $97.5 billion — the largest in the company’s history — to bankroll its massive investment in AI infrastructure.

Closer work on Muse

Muse models and agents, which run on Nvidia infrastructure, will work more closely with the chipmaker to improve performance and reduce costs, the companies said. Meta plans to increase its deployment of Nvidia infrastructure, including Vera Rubin and Vera central processing units, for next-generation AI agents.

The companies may also explore working together in other areas, including monitoring how AI agents behave. The move reflects demand for “useful” AI agents, they said.

Muse at the centre of Meta’s plans

Muse, known internally as Hatch, is central to chief executive Mark Zuckerberg’s plan to deliver “personal superintelligence” to the billions of people who use Meta’s services every day. Modelled on the open-source AI agent OpenClaw, Muse can access a user’s email, calendar, payments, health, shopping and smart-home applications, with users able to revoke access at any time.

A record fundraising

Meta initially announced a plan to raise up to $95 billion in waves of stock offerings, comprising $22.5 billion of Class A common stock and $12.5 billion of depositary shares representing mandatory convertible preferred stock. It then upsized the common stock tranche to $25 billion, priced at $625 per Class A share, with depositary shares at $50 each.

Market coverage also noted that AMD announced a $1 billion investment in Meta shortly after Nvidia’s announcement, underlining how chipmakers are competing to bankroll — and supply — the AI build-out.

FAKTA

  • Nvidia will invest $3 billion in Meta’s equity offering.
  • Meta increased its offering to $97.5 billion, its largest fundraising ever.
  • The partnership centres on Meta’s Muse AI assistant, known internally as Hatch.
  • Meta will expand its use of Nvidia’s Vera Rubin infrastructure.
  • Class A shares in the offering are priced at $625 each.

Conclusion

The deal ties two of the AI era’s biggest winners even closer together: Nvidia gains a committed buyer for its most advanced systems, and Meta gains a powerful backer for its plan to put AI agents at the heart of its apps. Investors will now watch whether the spending translates into the revenues Meta has promised.
