Punjab By-Polls: Election Code Violations Spark Controversy

Notices have been served to Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Huzaifa Rehman for allegedly violating the code of conduct under the Election Act 2017, according to Punjab Election Commissioner Sharifullah.

The federal minister and the SAPM have been directed to submit their explanations by November 21, with warnings of swift action against any code violations to ensure free, fair, and impartial elections.

Punjab Election Commissioner’s Warning

Punjab Election Commissioner Sharifullah emphasized the importance of adhering to the election code of conduct, stating that “
